Shauna Villarreal, Principal
An educator of over 20 years, Principal Villarreal has served in Irving ISD for 12 years. Before joining the Davis Elementary family, she was principal at Britain Elementary School. She was also an assistant principal at Keyes Elementary, an academic specialist at Stipes Elementary and an interventionist at Schulze Elementary. She taught third grade at Johnston Elementary and was also a teacher in Duncanville and Grand Prairie.
Villarreal holds a Bachelors Degree in Multi- Disciplinary Studies III and a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision. She is also a mother of two.
Principal Villarreal is honored and grateful for the opportunity to lead Davis Elementary, and eagerly anticipating the chance to collaborate with Davis staff, students, and community members to foster a vibrant and inclusive learning environment.

Jaime Mendoza, Assistant Principal
Mr. Mendoza is now entering his 13th year with Irving ISD. Mr. Mendoza was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and relocated to Irving, Texas with his family at the age of 6. Mr. Mendoza wanted to give back to where it all started, he wanted to thank all the teachers who helped him learn the English language and what better way than to serve in the district where it all started.
Mr. Mendoza attended John Haley Elementary School, Lee Britain Elementary School, Bowie Middle School and graduated from Nimitz High School.
Mr. Mendoza is the Assistant Principal for Davis Elementary. He previously served as an Assistant Principal at de Zavala Middle School and Brandenburg Elementary School.
Mr. Mendoza earned a Master of Education in leadership and policy studies from the University of Arlington at Texas, where he also earned his undergraduate degree.
He will support learners in Pre-K, 1st, 3rd, and 5th grades.

Matthew Troyanowski, Assistant Principal
Matthew Troyanowski is originally from Michigan and has taught learners in Naples, FL and Lewisville, TX. He earned his bachelor's degree in elementary education. He holds a master's degree in curriculum & instruction with an emphasis on mathematics education from Texas Christian University. He received his principal's certification from Lamar University.
He will support learners in Pre-K, Kindergarten, 2nd, and 4th grades. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, watching hockey and college football, and trying new foods.
